The Secretary thanked Slovenia for its positive rule in solving open questions in the region and for its sincere and impartial efforts in helping the countries of the region on their ways to Euroatlantic integrations.

Secretary Clinton congratulated Slovenia for the conclusion of an arbitration agreement with Croatia and for the successful realization of the referendum which helped to establish new relations between the two countries.

During his two-day visit in United States, Minister Žbogar also met with Senators Amy Klobuchar, George Voinovich, and Jeanne Shaheen, representatives of the State Department, Pentagon, National Security Council, members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives as well as the representatives from various think-tanks based in and around Washington, DC. Today, Minister Žbogar presented a lecture with the title: ˝The Balkans at a Crossroads: Time to Move Forward With the European-Atlantic Agenda˝ at the Center for Transatlantic relations at the Johns Hopkins University.

Before coming to Washington, Minister Žbogar met in New York with Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-Moon.

How friendly are border police officers?

Dear Visitors!

The Ministry of the Interior - Police has prepared a survey that measures the performance of police officers at Slovenian border crossings, their attitude towards passengers and their outward appearance. Though the results of the survey have no statistically applicable value, we will try to consider the opinions of all visitors participating in this survey. Thank you for filling it in. It will take only a few minutes of your time.

The survey results should be published this autumn. There are 22 questions in this survey.
